Pskovskiye Shashki
Initial positionThe diagram shows the board and the pieces in the initial position. There are three forwards and three backwards directions. The rules are the same as the rules of Shashki (Russian Draughts), except that promotion only takes place upon reaching the opposite corner (to the characteristic 'flying king' if a man does so in a capture).


Note: the inventor and the time of invention are as yet unknown.
